Port of Leith Distillery Abseil is the new event to raise founds for Harmeny's remarkable young people

A unique experience with incredible views

Towering majestically on the waterfront, the Port of Leith Distillery is the UK’s first vertical distillery, a striking nine-storey tower nestled in Edinburgh’s historic harbour.  You will descend 131ft from the roof top with exclusive access to amazing views across Edinburgh’s skyline and of the historic Royal Yacht Britannia beside you!

This event is brand new for 2026 and we have limited places available. If you would like to find out more then get in touch today by contacting Ali Baker on fundraising@harmeny.org.uk

All funds raised will ensure that some of Scotland’s most remarkable children and young people get the spaces, support and opportunities they need to help build a better future and thrive!

Please note:
Participants must be 12 years old and over. Those aged 12 – 15 years old require a parent or guardian to be present.
Minimum participant weight is 35 kg (4.7 stone)
Maximum participant weight is 120 kg (18.9 stone)
Waist harnesses fit waist size of 40 cm (15.7 inches) to 120 cm (47.2 inches)

Accessibility: There is a lift to the top floor, which is one level below the roof. To get up to the roof, participants are required to climb a vertical fire-exit style ladder for approx. 3m and then out of a hatch, onto the roof level. Once on the roof, there will then be another ladder climb of approx. 2m, to get onto the abseil platform. If you have any concerns about this please get in touch.
