£50,000 raised at Wine Challenge

£50,000 raised at Wine Challenge

Huge thanks to everyone to attend the second Harmeny Wine Challenge on Thursday 19th May. The event has now raised over £50,000 with every pound helping young people who have experienced early years trauma to get the facilities and opportunities they need to thrive.

Sponsored by Westerwood Properties, Wine Importers and Mackays the event brought together 140 guests to test their knowledge whilst sampling some fantastic wines and raising much needed funds for the Learning for Life Appeal.

The quiz was highly competitive with a team from Nairns Oatcakes claiming the prize by a whisker!

The evening started with a champagne reception before the quiz got underway. Guests sampled eight different wines across the eight rounds with notes on each bottle provided by wine connoisseur and quiz master, Malcolm Ogilvie of Wine Importers.
